Purpose:
The Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley was created to serve a growing
population of children with special needs. Through the efforts of a dedicated
board and a caring community, children with disabilities will be able
to participate in a baseball league of their own starting in the summer
of 2006.

Park Details:
The Jaindl Family Park is located on approximately 5 acres in Heidelberg
Township, Lehigh County. The parking area is circular in design for easy
drop-off and pick-up of players, with multiple handicapped and van parking
spaces available. Additional parking available on stabilized turf. The
field is a state of the art baseball complex designed specifically for
children with special needs. The field is a cushioned synthetic turf to
prevent injuries and easy mobility around the bases without obstruction.
The dug-out, concession stand, restrooms, and first-aid all are wheelchair
accessible. All surfaces are completely flat to eliminate any barriers
to wheelchairs, crutches and braces. The field has lights for both day
and evening games.
Fundraising Goal:
Projected at $1.57 million including donated land and site development,
capital construction, start-up operating costs, in-kind gifts, first year
operating funds and endowment.
